Connections

CellSnitch can easily be used as a stand-alone security system. By connecting the Positive 12 V supply to the inputs via Output Relay A the security system can easily be armed and disarm by simply sending a SMS or making a voice call to the unit.

Please note that the Sensors are wired in the Normally Open Circuit configuration not normally closed as commonly used in the security industry. It is possible to connect the sensors in the normally closed configuration but in this case the CellSnitch unit will generate Alarm SMS Messages every time the unit is disarmed.

When the unit is in standby mode (DISARMED) the Positive 12 V connection to the Inputs of CellSnitch will be disconnected by Relay A. So if any sensor would trigger CellSnitch will not generate Alarm SMS Messages as the Positive 12V to the Inputs is missing. (Disconnected by Relay A)

When the unit is in the ARMED Mode, a Positive 12V will be present to the Input’s.
In the case of a Sensor activating the Negative voltage would be applied to the input via the sensor and CellSnitch will generate the appropriate SMS Alarm Message. Please note an SMS will be sent every time a Sensor Triggers.

Configuration

The Inputs should be configured with a Capital as the Input will change from Low To High when an Alarm Condition occurs. So when Input J is used for a Sensor in the Kitchen the following configuration could be used.

JIntruder Kitchen+27834152115

When the Sensor triggers the SMS Message Intruder Kitchen will be send to Cell No: 0834152115.

More Outputs

Warning devices such as Sirens, Strobe Lights and Automatic Pepper Sprays can be connected to the Output Relays. These devises will not trigger automatically but is to be activated by the user via SMS message to the unit.
